Dominion Day at Fanshawe Pioneer Village in London, Ont.

June 26th, 2012, London Ontario - Join Fanshawe Pioneer Village on  
Canada Day to celebrate the birth of the Dominion of Canada! 
 
On the 1st of July, 1867, Canada became a self-governing colony within the  
British Empire.
 
Relive the past and discover the events surrounding the first Canada Day.
Historical debates, patriotic speeches, and vintage baseball are a few of
the activities that bring the past to  life at this historic Dominion Day event.

Feature Activities:

Dominion Day Celebrations at 1:00 p.m. with cake and lemonade.

Old fashioned Base Ball Game between vintage London Tecumseh and  
current London Tecumseh teams will begin at 1:00 pm.

The Pioneer Village Café will feature BBQ ribs and chicken.

It's the ultimate summer adventure - travel back in time! Fanshawe  
Pioneer Village offers a new summer day camp experience for children 6  
- 12 who will become part of Village life.  Campers will engage in  
farm and household chores, become apprentices in our Print,  
Woodworking and Blacksmith shops, play 19th century games, create  
Victorian crafts and celebrate the end of their week with a proper  
19th century social.
