Harbourfront Centre on Toronto's waterfront celebrates Canada Day weekend; let's party

A long-weekend-long festival celebrating and showcasing the amazing culture that our nation has to offer.


WHAT, EXACTLY:
·         Music including hip hop crew Airplane Boys, a reunited funkier-than-ever Crack of Dawn, soul-plus songstress Zaki Ibrahim, the return of Hidden Cameras, legendary South African singer Johnny Clegg, Rasta-bluesman Corey Harris and more;
·         Food demos and Iron Chef: Poutine Edition between David Neinstein (Barque Smokehouse), Matt Dean Petit (Rock Lobster), Micha Kennedy (Jamie Kennedy Kitchens) and Stephen Pynn (Bannock);
·         Dance performances and The Call Out, a bboy-crew throwdown;
·         A Poetry Slam hosted by the Toronto Poetry Project;
·         …And much more!

Members of the media are also invited to join 50 of our nation’s newest citizens at a citizenship ceremony followed by a reception hosted by CIBC on Sunday, July 1 at 11:30 a.m. Media wishing to attend are requested to RSVP.
