Hotel receives Specialty Select Brands Renovation of the Year Award at
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Owner Conference

Gatineau, QC., October 2, 2012 – The Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Conference Centre Gatineau-Ottawa was recently recognized from amongst its peers at the Starwood Hotels & Resorts owner conference held in Phoenix, Az. After debuting a new look, following a multi-million dollar renovation the hotel was awarded the Starwood North America Specialty Select Renovation of the Year award for all Four Points, Aloft or Element hotels.

In June 2011, the hotel which is managed by Atlific Hotels, unveiled a new guest room design, a refreshed pool and fitness area, a revamped lobby with complimentary morning coffee service and L’Ardoise; the hotel’s innovative new open concept restaurant.

The redesign of the hotel included a transformation of the hotel’s 201 guest rooms with a focus on guest comfort. Guest rooms now feature flat screen televisions and free Wi-Fi and wired high speed Internet. The new walk-in showers and increased desk space provide the perfect balance between work and relaxation. As a part of the renovation the hotel debuted a new culinary experience for guests to the capital region. The restaurant features a contemporary look and was a centre piece of the renovation to the lobby and public space. The menu is inspired by the slow food movement featuring classics such as gourmet burgers, sandwiches, salads and mouth-watering ribs all with a twist to appeal to the most discerning palate.

The Four Points Gatineau front desk, lobby, pantry and indoor heated swimming pool were renovated to feature a refreshed look for guests. The welcoming new design of the lobby invites guests to sit back and relax in the comfortable seating while enjoying a cup of fresh coffee.
