Harbourfront Centre offers Learn to Skate classes for all ages and skill levels

(News Release)

TORONTO, ON (Oct.25, 2012) Harbourfront Centre, with the support of RBC Royal Bank, offers over 100 skating classes for children, teens and adults, taught by our experienced and supportive skating instructors.

Learn to Skate classes are designed to suit each student’s skill level, from first-time skaters to those looking to improve their skating technique. Small class sizes ensure that students learn to skate in a fun, safe and comfortable environment over a four-week period.

All classes take place on the beautiful Natrel® Rink, alongside the scenic shores of Lake Ontario.

Participants can choose from various levels of Teen, Adult and Women-Only group classes. Those looking for more one-on-one attention can book a Private Lesson for an introduction to ice skating.

Harbourfront Centre also offers lessons for children including the Parent and Tot, Kinderskate, beginner and intermediate courses. All skate times include 55 minutes of instruction time with five minutes of free skate (excludes Parent and Tot).

If you don’'t have skates, Harbourfront Centre offers figure and hockey skate rentals for $8 per day. We rent helmets for $5 (limited sizes available). Please note that all Learn to Skate participants are required to wear CSA-approved hockey helmets. We also have lockers and heated change rooms available for your convenience.

The first session of Learn to Skate classes begin on November 20 (weather permitting), with more sessions being offered in the New Year. Register early to avoid disappointment!

For additional information and to register for Learn to Skate programmes, the public may visit harbourfrontcentre.com/learntoskate or call 416-973-4093.

All Learn to Skate courses take place on the beautiful Natrel Rink located along the scenic shores of Lake Ontario at 235 Queens Quay W, in the heart of Toronto’'s downtown waterfront.
