BARRIE, ONTARIO – Horseshoe, a Skyline Resort is set to kick-off Canada’s newest and Ontario’s largest ski and snowboard festival, Horseshoe Open, March 8-10.
Presented by 102.1 The Edge
and hosted by radio station personalities, Dean Blundell and Todd
Shapiro, the three-day event will host some of North America’s best
skiers, snowboarders and DJs alongside concerts from celebrated Canadian
rapper, Kardinal Offishall and indie rock group, Young Empires.
Throughout
the weekend, skiers and snowboarders will compete in several events
spanning the resort’s 26 ski runs and popular terrain park, including
Slopestyle, Rail Jam and Junior Jam categories, to be judged by members
of the Canadian Snowboard Federation. The Saturday evening events will
light up the sky with a professional Big Air competition alongside
fireworks on the hill. Guests will cap off the weekend at the Coors
Light Pro Rider after party with performances from Young Empires and
Kardinal Offishall.
All
ski and snowboard events are free for spectators, but on-hill events do
require a valid Horseshoe Resort lift ticket to access the hill.
During the daytime, Skullcandy’s DJ showcase and Motts’
Caesar après-ski patio party will keep the festivities going on the
slopes. In the Main Village, Action Sports Village will feature the
latest in ski and snowboard gear. For the full event schedule, visit http://www.horseshoeresort.com/horseshoeopenschedule.
Concert tickets
can be purchased separately for $20 or are included as part of

includes accommodations, daily Alpine lift ticket, breakfast, VIP
access to the Horseshoe Open Big Air competition and VIP seating for
