Celebrate National Canoe Day and National Paddling Week at the Small Craft Rendezvous in Peterborough, ON

Small Craft Rendezvous
 Saturday June 22, 2013, 10am-5pm
  
If you build, restore, use, own or want to learn more about small watercraft, don't miss this opportunity to be surrounded by fellow enthusiasts! Throughout the day there will be live demonstrations, workshops, vendors, special guest speakers and family-friendly programming. There will be something for everyone, so be sure to spend the day with us!
 

If you own or have built a small craft please bring it along to show. There will be awards for the best displays and stories told about your boat.


The Museum will be open from 10am to 5pm and admission will be FREE!

-Nick Offerman of NBC's Parks and Recreation will be presenting and providing ongoing entertainment throughout the day
-Lee Valley Tools- display and demonstration of sharpening systems and various hand tools
-Ontario Recreational Canoeing & Kayaking Assocation-presentations on backcountry cooking & canoeing safety
-Carlisle Canoe Company-canvassing demonstration
-Tony Wells- display of antique toy tin boats
-Skip Izon at Shadow River Boatworks-display of sailing canoes etc.
-Bear Mountain Boats-display relating history of Bear Mountain 
-Ron Frenette of Canadian Canoes and his group of paddlers will bring a couple of 26 ft. North Canoes they have built and will be paddling from Milan to Venice Italy in the fall of 2013
-Bearwood Canoes- cedar canvas canoes 
-Rick Nash- birch bark canoe builder
-Glen Fallis of Voyageur Canoe
-Joe & Hilary Calnan of Rivercraftreproduction historic craft from the St. Lawrence, interactive display
-Kawartha Turtle Trauma Center-interactive display
Meade Gougeon- co-founded of Gougeon Brothers and West System epoxy will be attending and presenting 
-Big2Canoe- Bob Arthur and Brian Heaslip will demonstrate their staple-less construction system as well as their woodstrip canoes. 
-Steve Killing of Steve Killing Yacht Design
