TOUR ONE: July 26th,
2013
- Your adventure
starts at the Perth County Welcome Centre and
Artisan Market.
- Then you're off to
see the intriguing making of Amish horse
buggies. You will enjoy watching a buggy-maker
in action at Ebersol Buggies. This is an amazing
experience where you will learn about the unique
construction of an Amish buggy.
- Next stop is at the
famous Anna Mae's Restaurant to have a fantastic
lunch with all the trimmings. Then, off to
Millbank Family Furniture for some retail
therapy!
- Our final stop is at
Conestoga Bird Seed just outside of Millbank.
You will encounter the wonderful world of bird
seed mixing and packaging done Amish
style.
TOUR TWO: August 23,
2013
- Your adventure
starts at the Perth County Welcome Centre and
Artisan Market
- First stop is the
unforgettable Quilt's Galore where you will see
over 100 Amish quilts
- Next we go to the
famous Anna Mae's Restaurant to have a fantastic
lunch with all the trimmings. Then, off to
Millbank Family Furniture for some retail
therapy!
- Next on your agenda
you will observe the making of horse harnesses
at the Amish Harness Maker. This is a
fascinating look at how the harnesses are made,
from cutting the leather pieces to the stuffing
of the harness.
TOUR
ONE: September 19th
- Your adventure
starts at the Stratford Perth Museum for a
little history lesson on the County of Perth,
enjoy the exhibit "Can you dig it" Agricultural
Roots of Perth County..
- Then you're
off to see the intriguing making of Amish horse
buggies. You will enjoy watching a buggy-maker
in action at Ebersol Buggies. This is an amazing
experience where you will learn about the unique
construction of an Amish buggy.
- Next stop is
at the famous Anna Mae's Restaurant to have a
fantastic lunch with all the trimmings. Then,
off to Quilts Galore were you'll see more than
100 quilts, table runners, wall hangings and
much more a have a tour of the owner's
home.
- Our final stop
is at Millbank Family Furniture a two-storey
shop that has so much more than furniture.
Both tours will have a
pick up location at the Stratford Festival
Marketplace (beside EB Games) and the Perth
County Welcome Centre and Artisan Market on Hwy.
7 & 8 in Shakespeare. The
September 19th tour will have a pick up location
in Stratford.
Cost
is $48.00 + HST and includes lunch at Anna
Mae's.
