The Toronto Zoo welcomes its one-millionth visitor this year
Sunday, August 11, 2013, Toronto Ontario: Congratulations to the Sanchez Family who
today, at 10 a.m., was declared the Toronto Zoo's one-millionth visitor for 2013.
The Sanchez Family was presented with a fabulous Toronto Zoo Prize Pack valued at more
than $2,000 and included WILD Zoo-venires, a One Year Toronto Zoo Family Membership, complimentary lunch and a special 'Behind the Scenes" tour for up to six guests.
The Toronto Zoo is open every day except December 25th so there is still more fun to
come this summer as well as fall and...yes we said it, winter! With over 6,000 animals
and award-winning exhibits and pavilions, there is much to see and do at the Toronto Zoo.
Don't forget to drop by and visit Er Shun and Da Mao at the Zoo's new Giant Panda
Experience and, as we head into the fall, take part in one of our family-favourite events
including Da Mao's 5th Birthday Celebration, Black Footed Ferret Day, Oasis ZooRun,
Fall Harvest Events and much more.
And, if you haven't already, strap in to our attraction "Gorilla Climb Ropes Course" and
take a walk on the WILD side, try a delicious BeaverTails pastry treat or take a ride on
our beautiful, hand-carved, Conservation Carousel.
The Toronto Zoo is a dynamic and exciting action centre that inspires people to love,
respect and protect wildlife and wild spaces.
