Adobe guru Colin Smith guest speaker at mpGO Show & Share Meeting January 30

(News Release)

Kitchener, ON (January 13, 2014) -- One of the most accomplished Adobe gurus in Canada is coming to Waterloo to share his secrets for one evening only.

Colin Smith, a senior solutions architect at Adobe Systems and the company's top trainer, is the guest speaker at the Media Producers Group of Ontarios (mpGO) Show & Share meeting on January 30, 2014.
Adobe produces quite a line-up of applications for design, web and video professionals. Colin Smith’s interactive talk will take participants on an insider's journey through the video side of Adobe, showcasing Premiere Pro, After Effects and all related software.

Whether you are a seasoned pro or an enthusiast, there is something for everyone in his two-hour presentation, including hottest tips, secrets and techniques – all in plain English. Also, there will be plenty of opportunity to meet with Colin Smith and ask questions.
Colin Smith has been swimming in the deep end of the video and imaging industries for over 20+ years. 15 of those years have been spent at Adobe Systems where he continues to evangelize leading edge solutions to customers all over North America, including Hollywood filmmakers, New York media giants and broadcast and animation houses in Canada.

Colin Smith’s passionate and accessible speaking style makes him a major draw at a multitude of Adobe events and seminars, as well as making regular appearances on his hit show No Stupid Questions on Adobe TV.

When not on the road, Colin Smith spends his time fighting crime by teaching law enforcement agencies to leverage Photoshop and other Adobe technologies and writing and recording music for his band “Raven House Poets.” You can check them out on iTunes.

This intimate evening with expert Colin Smith takes place at the Waterloo Adult Recreation Centre, located at 185 King St. South in Waterloo. Admission is $5.00 for mpGO members and $10.00 for non-members which includes refreshments. Free parking is available behind the building.

mpGO’s Show & Share meetings regularly brings together members of diverse creative industries for a series of discussions and activities. Anyone involved with or interested in the multimedia industry, including film, video and television, are welcome to attend.

“Show & Share meetings are a great opportunity to gain tips to succeed in a rapidly evolving and growing digital media landscape, check out the latest in camera technologies and network, as well as discuss projects, experiences and lessons learned, while showcasing your own work,” says mpGO Chair Carol Ann Whalen.
