(Toronto, ON) January 8 - Do-it-yourselfers will have a chance to rub elbows with plenty of
celebrity experts when the 2014 International Home & Garden Show rolls
into the Metro Toronto Convention Centre starting Thursday, March 6, 2014.
"We now have two unique shows for the
first time ever at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, featuring more than 400
exhibitors and over 30 celebrity speakers for people to learn home and
gardening tips and tricks from," says show manager Paul Newdick. "It really
will allow people to channel their inner green thumb or home
maker/renovator."
Celebrity experts who'll be on hand to offer free seminars
include: Kimberley Seldon, Karl Lohnes, Owen Reeves, Frankie Ferragine, Paul
LaFrance, Albert Graves, Denis Flanagan, Marc Atiyolil, Robert Koci, Mary
Dobson, Nicholas Rosaci, Lynn Spence, and many more.
This year's show is the 26th
annual and the first in its new home at the Convention Centre.
"We're very excited to be moving into
the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
This facility allows us to expand the size of the show to give more to
the consumer," says Newdick.
The show, which runs through Sunday, March
9, 2014 will offer four days of everything home related. Décor, design, entertainment, gardening and
home shopping enthusiasts will take part in the show.
At the centre of it all is a 1,980
square-foot Cape Cod-style home being assembled for the show by iModular Homes
of Aylmer, Ont.
General admission guarantees access to the International Home
& Garden Show, as well as the Successful Gardening Show at no extra
cost.
Highlights include the free Celebrity
Super Dream House and Celebrity Garden Theatre seminars, the Kitchen and Bath
area focusing on cabinetry, flooring, tiles, appliances and more, Green Street,
and area showcasing the latest in "e-COOL-ogical" living, the Ontario
Horticultural Association's Floral Design & Plant Competition "Let's Dance",
the Gardener's Marketplace featuring thousands of plant and garden products, DIY
Potting and Planting Demonstrations, a Landscape Design Competition that allows
you to vote in the "People's Choice Landscape Contest," pools, patios
spas, a putting green and so much more.
Prize giveaways include a $1`0,000 Outdoor Kitchen Oasis.
Admission into the show(s) is only $15 for
adults and $12 for seniors and children. Advance tickets are available online
not at a discounted rate.
