NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. –
Seneca
Casinos announces the addition of two world-class performers to its
already rock-solid lineup of spring entertainment. Coming to Seneca
Niagara Casino & Hotel
in Niagara Falls USA will be Matchbox Twenty front-man Rob Thomas on May 10 and longtime singer-songwriter
Paul Anka on April 19.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 24 at noon to see
Rob Thomas at Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel as part of a
40-day North American solo tour. Ticket prices start at $55 for the
Niagara Falls performance, which takes place at 8 p.m. on Saturday, May
10.
Thomas is one of the most distinctive vocalists and
accomplished songwriters in contemporary music, garnering a string of
accolades – both for his work as lead singer and primary composer with
Matchbox Twenty as well as for his solo work and collaborations with
other artists.
He is best known for his chart-topping
hits such as “Lonely No More” and “This Is How a Heart Breaks,” and
Matchbox Twenty hits like “Push,” “3 A.M.,” “If You’re Gone” and “Bent.”
Thomas also earned three Grammy Awards for “Smooth,” his smash
collaboration with Santana. He is currently at work
on his third solo album, and has contributed to sales of more than 80
million records throughout his career.
After nearly 60 years in the music industry, singer-songwriter
Paul Anka continues to delight audiences worldwide with his
powerful vocals and charm. He performs at Seneca Niagara Events Center
on Saturday, Apr. 19 at 8 p.m.; tickets start at $50 and go on sale
Monday, Jan. 27 at noon. Anka’s first single, “Diana,”
soared to No. 1 in the U.S. and U.K. in 1957, and dozens of popular
singles followed into the 1960s – including “Put Your Head On My
Shoulder,” “Puppy Love” and the No. 1 hit “Lonely Boy.”
After a string
of Las Vegas shows throughout the remainder of the 1960s,
he teamed up with Odia Coates in 1974 on the No. 1 duet, “(You’re)
Having My Baby.” Throughout his career, Anka also achieved much success
writing songs for other legendary artists, such as “She’s a Lady” by Tom
Jones and the lyrics to “My Way” by Frank Sinatra.
His latest album, “Duets,” was released in 2013 and includes
collaborations with Celine Dion, Michael Bublé, Dolly Parton, Peter
Cetera and many other superstars.
Thomas
and Anka join a star-studded spring entertainment lineup that was
recently announced by Seneca Casinos, including Trace Adkins,
Heart, Jay Leno and Jon Anderson in Niagara Falls, and Gary Allan and
Kevin Costner & Modern West in Salamanca, N.Y. Tickets for all of
those shows are on sale now and
