Sheraton Ottawa hotel offers preferred room rates for Valentine’s and Family Day Weekend

CHEF FREDERIC FILLIODEAU ROMANCES THE HEART
AT THE SHERATON OTTAWA HOTEL WITH SCRUMPTIOUS VALENTINE’S DINING OPTIONS IN THE CARLETON GRILL

OTTAWA, January 24, 2014—Executive Chef Frédéric Filliodeau at the Sheraton Ottawa is passionate about his craft.

With more than 25 years of culinary experience from all corners of the globe, Chef Filliodeau is delighted to call the nation’s capital his home.

For Valentine’s Day, he has created two memorable dining experiences for the Carleton Grill located on the lobby level of the Sheraton Ottawa Hotel. The Carleton Gourmet Club, a signature series created by Chef Filliodeau, will be presenting a seven-course lovers’ feast to be served on Friday, February 14th.

Additionally the Carleton Grill will also be serving a special table d’hôte five-course menu on Valentine’s Day.

As Chef is fond of saying, “cooking is the result of a creative process during which we bring to life the plentiful offering of Mother Nature. It gives me great pleasure to offer you a selection of carefully selected dishes to accompany the joyful moments shared at our table.”

Diners will delight in a wide variety of exquisite tastes, textures and flavours.  Highlights from both menus include foie gras carved tableside with a purée of California dates, marmalade of figs, red wine and Serrano and the Love Birds – half partridge, half pigeon suprême with double smoked bacon and a red beet consommé.

Desserts will no doubt delight Cupid as the table d’hôte selections include Triple Chocolate Heart with decadent dark chocolate Bavarian cream and chocolate ganache or Pear Toffee Heart with a delightful pear mousse and caramel.

Chef Filliodeau’s Carleton Gourmet Club menu is priced at $96 per person with $54 for wine pairing accompaniment.  The Carleton Grill Valentine’s Day table d’hôte is priced at $69 with wine pairing at an additional $39.  Menus are exclusive of taxes and service.  As the Carleton Grill will be selling out, reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 613-203-1502 ext. 6646.

The Sheraton Ottawa is extending a preferred room rate for the long, Family Day weekend which begins on Valentine’s Day, Friday, February 14th.
