NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. – With more Ontario craft beers, local wineries, regional distillers and Niagara restaurants than ever before, the Niagara Food &Wine Expo is back and bigger than ever.
The Niagara Food & Wine Expo is Niagara’s
largest international tasting event – but this years’ event will
feature more stunning Ontario wines, delicious craft beers, exciting
spirits and incredible local cuisine than ever before.
The event, which runs from May 2-4 at the
Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls, Ont. will also showcase
world-class winemakers, brewmasters and mixologists who will host “sip
and learn” sessions on the tasting stage in addition
to showcasing their wares on a massive show floor packed with new
exhibitors and returning favourites.
Beer lovers will be in seventh heaven with
the Expo’s largest selection of craft beer yet, including; Lake of Bays
Brewery, Double Trouble Brewing, Waterloo Brewing Co., Creemore Springs,
Flying Monkey, Highlander Brew Co. and Niagara
College Brewery to name a few.
“Craft beer is exploding in popularity
throughout North America so we put a huge focus on getting the hottest
microbrews from Ontario at this year’s Expo,” said Jennifer Campbell,
show manager of the Niagara Food & Wine Expo. “In addition
to the awesome craft brewers we’ll be welcoming tons of new exhibitors
including wineries,distillers and restaurants. We are so excited about
this year’s show.”
Local winemaker, Lydia Tomek from Hernder and
Harvest Estate Wines will share her knowledge on local vineyards and
wines. The talented Chef D, Executive Chef of Weber’s Restaurants and
host of ChefDtv.com will be showing off his culinary
talent on the chef stage. To stir up even more fun, mixologist Jeremy
Parsons will be presenting at this year’s show, concocting fun and
flavorful cocktails.
“Niagara wineries are always a big draw for
Expo attendees and this year we will have a wide array of different
local wineries all under one roof,” said Campbell. Some of the wineries
at this year’s Expo include; Rockway Vineyards,
GreenLane Estate Winery, Pondview Estate Winery, Pelee Island Winery
and Hernder Estate Winery.
