TORONTO -- The man
ultimately known as "The King of Rock 'n' Roll" had a multi-faceted
career that embraced and experimented with all genres of music and he
rightly became a cultural icon recognized the world over.
A new theatrical concert production has now combined all the various and varied aspects of the King’s career to create “the concert of a lifetime”.
RETURN TO GRACE will play the Ed Mirvish Theatre for two weeks only, from July 8 to 20, 2014.
The opening date is very significant in the annals of pop music. It was on July 8, 1954 - exactly 60 years ago - on WHBQ Radio Memphis' "Red, Hot and Blue" show, that King's first recording, "That's Alright Mama" was broadcast for the very first time. The rest, as they say, is history.

The Production features Steve performing every phase of this amazing
career in this new concert - from a shy droopy-eyed kid with a swivel
and swagger from the smallest of Tennessee towns, to the man who would
change the meaning of music for generations on the biggest stages on the
planet; from the early years through The Comeback to the triumphant
ALOHA concert in Hawaii.
Backed by a company of 30 artists - musicians, dancers and singers - RETURN TO GRACE
traces some of the most amazing and greatest of musical moments of the
20th century. The songs performed include “That’s All Right”, “Teddy
Bear”, “How Great Thou Art”, “Are You Lonesome Tonight”, “The Great
American Trilogy” and more.
ABOUT STEVE MICHAELS
Steve's love of Elvis was sparked at a young age. His mother, an Elvis fan, played the songs and the movies often, so Steve was immersed in The King's work. As he grew up, people began commenting on Steve's resemblance to his musical idol. Soon he began to play Elvis and he discovered that he had a natural talent to becoming Elvis. In voice, in movement and in looks Steve is just like Elvis. But in between songs — even with a Memphis accent and crooked smile, he’s got the charm and charisma of Steve Michaels, from Milton, Ont.
