HarbourKIDS Skating Festival is back with two days of free, family activities

(News Release)

TORONTO -- This Family Day Weekend Harbourfront Centre hosts its annual HarbourKIDS Skating Festival, presented by RBC Learn to Play (February 15-16), free for everyone.

This two-day festival offers a winter wonderland of activities for families to make, skate and create together. From gliding with grins on the Natrel Rink to building a snow structure, and then cozying up with the ones you love listening to stories. The HarbourKIDS Skating Festival is the ultimate destination this Family Day Weekend.

Outdoor activities include two on-ice performances by Le Patin Libre, showcasing portions of their internationally acclaimed skating performances.
Post-show, the performers will instruct patrons on how to dance on ice. On February 16, RBC and Canadian athletes, Patrick Chan, Wendel Clark, Caroline Ouellette, Jennifer Botterill and Kevin Rempel are inviting the public to the ice as they attempt to set a new Guinness World Record, leading the largest ice skating lesson. HarbourKIDS Skating Festival will also include crafts, storytelling, interactive workshops and much more.

"This Family Day weekend we are offering a range of activities for people of all ages on the ice, in the snow and in the coziness of indoors," shares Allison Cummings, Artistic Associate for HarbourKIDS Skating Festival. "All families are welcome to experience this free, two-day festival where our winter wonderland will inspire families to explore their imagination and create new memories."
