0am - 4:00pm
Did you know the red panda is one of
the few animals entirely covered with fur? Even the bottoms of their
feet are furry, an adaptation to conserve energy. This unique creature,
native to the temperate forests of the Himalayas, also happens to be
exceptionally cute! Learn all about the 'original' panda, discovered 50
years before the giant panda, with a meet-the-keeper talk plus
enrichment feeding at 12:00 noon and 3:00 pm. Plus, bid on fun prizes in
a panda-themed silent auction, including a painting created by one of
our red pandas! All proceeds support the Red Panda Network, an
organization committed to the conservation of wild red pandas and their
habitat.
