Toronto Zoo news and events

CLICK HERE to see the latest video of the white lion cubs interacting with dad, Fintan.

Our white lion cubs continue to grow and have slowly been introduced to dad, Fintan. Every weekday, keepers are working on integrating the pride with Fintan and the cubs. Each cub is now over 30lbs and as you can see, they are still very active, playful and rambunctious!

Don't forget to visit mom, Makali, and the four cubs every Saturday and Sunday from 11:00am to 2:00pm, weather permitting.

FIRST COMES LOVE
Adult Program (Adults ages 19 and up)
Saturday, February 13 OR Sunday, February 14
6:30 pm – 9:00 pm

One of life's greatest gifts is the gift of a child and one of the most important and honourable jobs around! The mystery of birth, and parenthood, has been explored throughout the ages and it's no surprise that many of the most interesting discoveries have come from the animal world. Join us for an evening of fascinating conservation facts on parenthood where you will learn facts such as how the male sea horse, and not the female, carries their young or that giant pandas only have 72 hours in which they can mate!
Our Valentine's Program includes a romantically inspired dinner, special animal encounter, an interactive group presentation and a tour of the Reproductive Labs led by our Reproductive Specialist Team!

Giant Panda Experience
11:00 am** Family and Love Theme!

Da Mao invites you to Piñata’s for Pandas!* The Toronto Zoo is always looking for creative animal enrichment that connects guests and animals in a relatable way. Panda Piñata’s encourage foraging, which is the act of looking or searching for food. The giant pandas have been enjoying this special enrichment, made just for them by their keeping staff, since arriving at the Toronto Zoo in 2013. Whether it's for Valentine's Day, Canada Day or Halloween, Canada's only giant panda pair enjoy the fun of getting to some of their favourite treats in some of the most creative designs.

**Note, Da Mao will be the only giant panda receiving a pinata on this date.
