Toronto, Ontario – The Toronto Fall Home Show has taken a new home! For its 28th year, Toronto’s largest Fall Home Show will be held at the Enercare Centre, Exhibition Place (100 Princes’ Boulevard, Toronto) beginning Friday, September 23 and running until Sunday, September 25.

Looking to invigorate your space with new energy and innovation? Swing by Colour BLOCK-IN, an interactive and creative space featuring the modular building block system EverBlock®. Focusing on small space concepts and incorporating organizational and storage solution tips, this 1500 sq.ft. space will provide the inspiration you need to transform your space, while allowing you to release your inner kid in the hands-on building area.

Distributed through Creative Club Corporate, these EverBlock modular bricks snap together to form structures and life-sized furniture.  It's quick and easy to build nearly anything by stacking and organizing the universal blocks in nearly any shape, pattern, or size.  Anything you've constructed can be taken apart and re-assembled again, and the pieces can be re-used to build other objects, making EverBlock a unique green building method. 

The installation is designed by James Loppie, CAO dezign workz inc., who will bring the space to life by showcasing fun and function in a liveable small space.

Support Habitat for Humanity’s Pop-Up Donation Drop

Are you downsizing or making room for some new purchases? You can donate new or gently-used home furnishings, renovation materials, kitchen and bathroom fixtures, appliances and lighting fixtures live on location at the Toronto Fall Home Show in support of Habitat ReStore and Habitat for Humanity GTA at the Pop-Up Donation Drop. Consumers can drop off items at the truck located outside the show.  Simply drop by on your way to the show or on your way in to work.  Donate, do good, it’s easy. ReStore is a unique retail store concept operated by Habitat for Humanity that accepts donations of new and gently-used furniture, appliances, home renovation materials and other household items and sells them at great prices. Proceeds from Habitat ReStore supports Habitat’s mission to help working, low-income families build a better life through access to affordable homeownership.

Upcycle Challenge: Storage Solutions in support of Habitat for Humanity GTA

Celebrity experts and emerging style, décor and DIY experts are taking part in the 5th annual Upcycle Challenge: Storage Solutions. Revolving around the over-arching theme of storage solutions, participants chose one piece from any of the 10 Habitat for Humanity GTA ReStores and were given free rein to be as creative and unique as their DIY minds allowed to design and upcycle a piece that will offer additional storage and organization options.

“The Upcycle Challenge: Storage Solutions is the perfect way for the experts to show how easy it is to be creative with upcycling a piece of furniture.  Giving it new life with the purpose of solving todays storage challenges, while remaining chic and fashionable,” adds Holmes.

Confirmed participants include: Evelyn Eshun (Interior Designer, Evelyn Eshun Interiors); Carson Arthur (International landscape designer and outdoor expert, Cityline expert and HGTV’s Home to Win); Leigh-Ann Allaire Perrault (DIY ninja, Cityline expert); Chris Palmer (Hand Crafted by Chris Palmer), Clare Kumar (Professional Organizer); Jordan Spears (DIY, Craftsman and Carpenter); David White (Designer, David White Design); Erica Gelman (Designer, House Of Design); Janice Fedak (Colour & Design Specialist); Anne Renshaw (Interior Designer); Anna Rocoski (Toronto Home Shows); Cristina Barbosa (Toronto Home Shows); and Michael Penney (Designer and Owner Penney and Company).

All entries will be displayed and for sale at the Toronto Fall Home Show, with proceeds going to support Habitat for Humanity GTA. An online voting contest will run from September 15-23 to determine the winning project. 

NEW -- Take Part in Paint Workshops presented by Fusion Mineral Paint

New this year, the Toronto Fall Home Show will feature on site workshops by Fusion Mineral Paint in room A2 beginning Friday, September 23 and running until Sunday, September 25. Run by Fiona Debell, Workshop Ambassador for Fusion Mineral Paint, each workshop is designed to teach and educate participants about how to use Fusion Mineral Paint around their homes to refurnish, embellish and upgrade their existing pieces. Workshops include: Paint a Frame: Tones for Tots Nursery Art; Create a Memory Box Workshop; Create a Faux Tin Tile Workshop; Sea Glass Finished Jars; Kitchen Cabinet Refinishing; Fabric Stencilling on Cushion Cover and Distressing Techniques using Fusion Fresco. Workshop attendees will have access to aprons, but should be aware that they may get paint on their person. There is a maximum of 40 people per scheduled workshop.
