Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau announces five new participants in the D Discount Pass program

 DETROIT – The Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau (DMCVB) is excited to announce five new participating attractions to The D Discount Pass, a downloadable pass designed to save visitors money on admission to metro Detroit attractions.
New participants include:
·         The Adventure Park at West Bloomfield, 20 percent off admission
·         Automotive Hall of Fame, 20 percent off admission
·         Detroit Institute of Arts, 20 percent off admission
·         United Shore Professional Baseball League, 20 percent off admission
·         Wheelhouse Detroit, half off two-hour rental
“Since the program’s inception in 2014, more than 24,000 tourists and locals have utilized The D Discount Pass,” said Larry Alexander, DMCVB President and CEO.
“We’re thrilled to have a variety of new participants on board this year. We appreciate their contribution to this free program that saves metro Detroit visitors money.”

The five new additions expand the impressive list of current participating attractions, which include: Arab American National Museum, Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, Ford Piquette Avenue Plant, The Henry Ford, Legoland Discovery Center Michigan, Meadow Brook Hall, Michigan Science Center, Motown Museum, Outdoor Adventure Center and Sea Life Michigan Aquarium.
"Both Sea Life Michigan Aquarium and Legoland Discovery Center Michigan are committed to providing fun, inspiring and creative learning experiences to families across the metro Detroit area," said Hayley Anderson, general manager for Sea Life Michigan and Legoland Discovery Center Michigan.
"The D Discount pass is a great opportunity for the community to get to know the engaging and unique activities available in our area. We are excited to participate in the program and look forward to welcoming metro Detroiters and visitors to our attractions."
The pass is valid for one person per visit and can be used multiple times through the end of 2017. Visitors can go to visitdetroit.com/discount and complete a brief online form to download The D Discount Pass barcode via a mobile device, email or printed voucher.
To apply the discount, visitors must show The D Discount Pass barcode to staff at the time of purchase. This offer cannot be combined with any other discounts or coupons, is nontransferable, has no cash value and may not be reproduced.
