Stratford, ON (March 28, 2018) – String Bone Presents! another exceptional double bill concert April 6, 2018, featuring Irish Mythen, an Irish-born, Canadian globe-trotting troubadour, and Harrow Fair, the dynamic duo of Miranda Mulholland (Great Lake Swimmers) and Andrew Penner (Sunparlour Players). The concert starts at 8:00 pm.

Irish Mythen
An impressive tour-de-force on stage, Mythen combines her contemporary and catchy anthems with traditional tunes borrowed from her homeland which all are woven together with a signature blend of edgy humour and heartfelt storytelling.

Says Mythen, “It’s the people I’ve met, the colour and shape of the land, the fact that you spend much of this life alone on the road. All these things have crept into my songs.”

Mythen, who now resides in Charlottetown, PEI, has performed across Europe, Australia, the Middle East and United Kingdom. In recent years, she has performed with Rod Stewart, Gordon Lightfoot and Lucinda Williams.
She has also worked with renowned artists Gordie Sampson, Joel Plaskett, Ron Hynes, Matt Andersen, Bruce Guthro and Dave Gunning, as well as world-renowned artists Tom Paxton, The Dubliners, The Pogues and the list goes on.

She has three full-length recordings to her credit: Republic Of One (1999), Sweet Necessity (2007) and Open Here (2011).  Her fourth self-titled album won the Canadian East Coast Music Association 2015 Roots Album of the Year.

Harrow Fair

No strangers to the music scene, Harrow Fair combine their considerable strengths as singers and instrumentalists, while exploring song-writing enhanced by heavy kick drum, rootsy guitar and scorching fiddle. With a lot of road miles and albums under their belts, Harrow Fair’s sound has been described as “gritty, gorgeous and gratifying.”

“When Miranda Mulholland and Andrew Penner create music together, something delightful happens. Their combined experiences shows-off fantastically executed string work with both the fiddle and guitar. Call to Arms, the Canadian duo’s record debut, spoons out doses of rock, roots, Southern charm and just about everything else along the way,” writes Elmore magazine.
Now in its third season, String Bone Presents! brings the best of Canadian folk-roots to the stage at Stratford's Revival House with eight (8) concerts each season. The concert series is curated and directed by Canadian singer-songwriter Barry James Payne, who is the frontman for the roots-Americana band String Bone and he also performs for the Celtic-fusion band Rant Maggie Rant.

Tickets for the Live at Revival House concert series are available at https://stringbonepresents.com/. The website also contains information about dinner reservations at Revival House and accommodation at Foster’s Inn. Dinner is optional, but encouraged and must be reserved separately through the venue.

Revival House, formerly the Church Restaurant, is one of Stratford’s most iconic buildings. A former Baptist church-turned-fine dining restaurant, Revival House is co-owned and operated by Stratford native Rob Wigan and his wife Candice Wigan. The 1,676-square-metre property was gutted in the spring of 2014 and its majestic interior transformed into a “smart casual” restaurant and lounge with an expansive kitchen that embraces the local farm to table concept. Revival House was featured in enRoute, Air Canada’s inflight travel magazine, as a “must visit” spot to enjoy while visiting southern Ontario.
