Go buggy at the Outdoor Butterfly and Bug Hunt Weekend at the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory

    CAMBRIDGE, Ontario --Go buggy at the Outdoor Butterfly and Bug Hunt Weekend (July 20 and 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) at the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory.
 
   Visitors join nature interpreters on the hunt in the wildflower meadow that’s home to thousands of tiny critters.

    There’s an insect scavenger hunt, with a net and collection jar provided, and examining and identifying the specimens, face painting, crafts and seminars. 

Schedule of Events

All Day – Arts and Crafts in the classroom

All Day – Self-guided outdoor butterfly and bug hunts – visit our ID booth and chat with the Toronto Entomologists’ Association and Pollination Guelph
Going on a butterfly and bug hunt at the conservatory.
 All Day – An indoor scavenger hunt in the Conservatory (in the case of inclement weather only)

11:00 am to 4:00 pm – Ongoing demonstrations from Mountsberg Raptor Centre (Sunday Only)

11:00 am – Magnificent Monarchs Seminar: Learn about the Monarch’s life cycle, what it means to be a Species at Risk, the importance of pollination, and get inspired about wildlife conservation (kid-friendly)

11:30 am to 3:30pm – Face Painting

1:00 pm – Pollinator Gardening Seminar: This 30 minute presentation will introduce to you the fundamentals on how you can create a pollinator-friendly habitat

3:00 pm – Magnificent Monarchs Seminar: Learn about the Monarch’s life cycle, what it means to be a Species at Risk, the importance of pollination, and get inspired about wildlife conservation (kid-friendly.)
