Bingemans transforms – On the Grand Amphitheatre into a drive-in entertainment venue

KITCHENER, Ont.  -  Bingemans has launched drive-in entertainment at the On the Grand Amphitheatre for the only drive-in experience in Waterloo Region. 

In response to the challenges that Covid-19 has produced across the entertainment sector, Bingemans is working with many of its entertainment partners to provide an outlet for guest enjoyment, creativity for the arts and a unique venue for various events that aligns with the requirements of the regulatory authorities. Regular programing will run into the fall season, with some special events along the way.

“We are excited to revamp the drive-in concept into a full entertainment platform which is spurred on by this Covid-19 environment. Our goal of creating Grand Experiences for our region continues in these challenging times and we hope the community embraces this ability to get out with added confidence to enjoy themselves, while supporting our local businesses” said Bingemans President, Mark Bingeman.

The opening week that started July 8th deatures the movies Trolls and Jaws; hilarious performances from Yuk Yuks on Tour, and a live concert event with the Romeo Sex Fighter.

“Laughter is the best medicine and I think we all could use a big dose of laughter during times like these. We are excited to get back to connecting with people in providing a comedy oasis,” said Mark Breslin, creator of Yuk Yuks.

All ticketing and information for events will be done online only at www.bingemans.com/onthegrand as there are no ticket sales at the gate. In addition to the entertainment on screen, the drive-thru snack station will operate with the ability to select your food and drink at time of your ticket purchase.

Oktoberfest update from Mark Bingeman:

On the Bingemans side, we are planning on an Oktoberfest event execution. We have plans submitted to the tourism ministry for feedback and comments.

One way or another, we are committed to an activation that is safe, embraces Covid-19 protocols and isworth-while to the consumers.
