Million Dollar Jackpot Win an Answer to Family’s Prayers

Barrie man wins $1.78M, now able to care for elderly mother

RAMA, ON (Sunday, September 16th, 2012) – A family’s prayers were answered this
morning when a Barrie man won over $1.7M! Roger Berube (54) won the close to two
million dollar jackpot playing one of the 14 Megabucks Progressive slot machines
today at Casino Rama.

While waiting for his wife to join him from Barrie, Roger revealed that the
jackpot win was an answer to the family’s prayers as it allowed them to return
to Quebec to care for his mother.

“My mom is getting older and last week she fell and we realized she could no longer
live alone”, said Roger.

“We had planned to move back to PQ to help, but this wins takes away all the stress
and is an answer to our prayers”. In fact Roger’s wife, Brigitte, didn’t believe
him when he called her immediately after the win to tell her. He had to have a
Casino Player Service team member take the phone and confirm the amazing news
before she’d believe her husband was now a millionaire. Berube has been playing
the Megabucks slot game for years never believing that he could win the big
jackpot, and is still in shock over winning what he thought was “impossible”.

“We’re thrilled that Roger & Brigitte's dream was able to come true with us”,
said Harry Oshanski, President & CEO of Casino Rama, adding “Making the
impossible possible; that’s why Casino Rama is known as the home of Big Time
Excitement”.

at Casino Rama – this February a Huntsville man won over $3.1M, last September
