| Club Med expresses interest in the Massif de Charlevoix project | | |
A letter of mutual interest was signed between Club Med and Groupe Le Massif,
confirming their common desire to reach a partnership agreement to
jointly operate a Club Med at the Massif ski resort. Negotiations are
underway to begin running a 300-room hotel as of December 2015. Club Med
wishes to become involved in every aspect of the Massif de Charlevoix
project.
Club Med's interest underscores the tourist appeal of
the Massif de Charlevoix. Note, however, that this hotel would only
account for a portion of the lodging units at the resort. As initially
planned, a range of accommodations will be available for all tastes and
budgets.

and Loto-Québec are proud to announce the North American release of
Belinda Jones' new novel, Winter Wonderland, a story set amid the magic
of the Carnival. Already available in the United Kingdom, Winter
Wonderland will soon be distributed in 18 countries.
Winter
Wonderland is the story of tourism journalist Krista Carter, who travels
around the globe in search of fascinating destinations for her readers
always looking for the next great holiday idea. She finds herself in
Québec City, where she experiences the enchantment of winter and warm
Québécois hospitality. During her stay, she falls in love with Jacques, a
French-Canadian musher.
Belinda Jones is one of the many
jounalists to have attended the 2012 Carnival press tour organized by
Québec City Tourism, Tourisme Québec and the Québec Winter Carnival.

| Ice fishing at the Portneuf wildlife reserve | | |
It
is now possible to go trout ice fishing on both lakes Stein and Lindsay
this winter. There is a heated waystation at Lake Lindsay, where
fishing equipment may be rented. This activity is restricted to those
staying on the reserve. Note the cost of onsite lodging does not include
fishing access fees.
The cottages on the réserve faunique de Portneuf
are large enough to accommodate an extended family, but isolated enough
to ensure complete privacy. A Québec fishing permit is required to go
ice fishing, though one may be obtained at the reserve.
Ice fishing season from mid-December to mid-March (depending on ice conditions).

| Lots of snow on the Beaupré Coast! | | |
Take a trek along the snowshoe ski trails winding through the Montmorency Forest
this winter! This new activity is simply one more that may be practised
in the Montmorency Forest, an outdoor recreational destination par
excellence. You are sure to appreciate staying in one of the cozy
cottages amid the gorgeous scenery.
If you would rather go cross-country skiing, you can spend the night at one of the five heated shelters along the cross-country ski trails at Mont-Sainte-Anne. Three of these shelters can accommodate up to six guests deep in the woods!
In the winter, the forest is draped in a snowy cloak, and the river glistens and glitters in the frosty light! Along the Sentier des Caps
trail in the Saint-Tite-des-Caps sector, snowshoes are king! Every
trail (a total of 28 km / 17 miles) leads to belevederes looking out
over the St. Lawrence River and Montmagny Archipelago! It is also
possible to take a two- to six-day trip along the Sentier des Caps trail
in Charlevoix, during which you can go wilderness camping or sleep in
one of the nine shelters along the trail. Your outdoor adventure awaits!
