Prud'homme Beer sommeliers join Toronto’s Festival of Beer

Quench your thirst for knowledge at the Brewmaster's Sessions on July 25-27

TORONTO, Ont. (July, 2014) – Toronto’s Festival of Beer returns for the 20^th year to Bandshell Park, Exhibition Place later this month with more beer, more fun and more seminars than ever before. 

This year the three-day Festival from July 25-27 is partnering with Prud'homme Beer Certification to offer beer enthusiasts the opportunity to learn more about the beverage they love.

The Brewmaster's Sessions at the Festival present a line-up of exciting and educational events and seminars that will be led by a group of Prud'homme Beer Sommeliers, who will bring their passion for all things beer to the stage.

"We are extremely excited to have Prud'homme Beer Sommeliers taking part in our Brewmaster's Sessions," Les Murray, President of Toronto's Festival of Beer. "These individuals have a vast knowledge of the rapidly changing beer industry and are eager to help people increase their beer IQ."

Festival-goers can choose from more than a dozen hour-long educational seminars offered by beer experts over the course of the weekend.

A sampling of the seminars includes:

·         On Friday, July 25, a primer on how to run successful tastings of your own, as well as an open discussion with three brewers.

·         On Saturday, July 26, a session on using beer as an ingredient to put a new twist on cocktails and a how-to session on pairing beer with cheese as an alternative to wine.

·         On Sunday, July 27, guests can learn how to set up a great draught beer system at home or find out what the colour of beer says about its character and flavour.

All Prud'homme Beer Sommeliers taking part in the Toronto Festival of Beer Brewmaster's Series have completed a multi-level beer education course allowing them to become master craftsmen and experts in beer.
