Exhibition is first major survey of work by Douglas Coupland with more than 100 artworks on display in Toronto

Toronto, ONThe widely acclaimed Douglas Coupland: everywhere is anywhere is anything is everything exhibition, presented by TD Bank Group, closes at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) on Sunday, April 26, 2015.

As part of a first-time partnership between the ROM’s Centre for Contemporary Culture (RCC) and the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art (MOCCA), the engaging exhibition features more than 100 works by Douglas Coupland on view.

This is the last opportunity see one of Canada’s most provocative thinkers question what our future holds.

The conversation that Coupland’s work inspires about the relationship between the virtual and the physical is part of what makes everywhere is anywhere is anything is everything so affecting. On display at the ROM, artwork that looks whimsical at first becomes much deeper and darker when visitors try to capture it with a smartphone.” – Designlines Magazine

This exhibition is the first major survey of Coupland’s work and provides an incisive look at what defines Canadian culture through the exploration of popular culture, cultural identity, the power of language, and the pervasive presence of technology in modern life. Through diverse media ranging from Lego® to found materials, painting to installation, Coupland challenges the way that the things, images, and process of contemporary life affect our understanding of the world around us.

The exhibition is included with ROM general admission. For full exhibition details visit http://www.couplandto.ca. Join the conversation at #CouplandTO.
