Get outdoors at Ontario Parks; Free admission on July 20 (2018)


Celebrate Healthy Parks, Healthy People with free day-use at all provincial parks in Ontario on July 20 (2018). Research shows that spending time in nature is good for your physical, mental, and social well-being. Experience the health benefits of hiking and paddling, and take part in events.

David Archibald Concert Series
Singer-songwriter David Archibald is performing a province-wide, 30-park concert tour this summer. David is performing five new songs that he has written in celebration of Ontario Parks’ 125th anniversary, including, “The Happiest Camper in Ontario.”

BioBlitz at Lake Superior Provincial Park
Volunteers are invited to learn at Lake Superior Provincial Park’s BioBlitz on July 14. Expert and amateur participants will collect information on what species can be found within the park’s ecosystems over a 24-hour period.

Port Burwell Provincial Park is hosting a Canine Service Unit Demonstration on July 21. Conservation Officer Sean Cronsberry will be educating visitors on how his dog Timber can detect concealed wildlife, fish, and firearms.
Sleeping Giant Provincial Park’s Yoga at the Giant takes place on July 27. A certified instructor will be leading participants through a yoga class in the ambience of Sleeping Giant Provincial Park.

Did You Know?
Ontario Parks is hosting art programming in celebration of our 125th anniversary. Go Wild for Art invites visitors to learn about our parks’ art history, and create their own masterpiece. Participants can take part in paddle painting workshops, outdoor galleries, nature journaling, and more.

  1. I really liked the fact that people in Canada are very concerned about a healthy lifestyle. This is manifested in quitting smoking, organizing yoga classes in parks, and using herbal medicines.
