UPCOMING EVENTS: Wednesday, December 26 The 36th Annual Christmas Treats Trek Join us for this annual tradition where the Zoo animals await their seasonal treats. Due to renovations in the Eurasia section of the Zoo (including our new home for the Giant Pandas), we will be adding a new twist to this annual favourite! Half price admission for everyone all day. Monday, December 31 10th Annual New Year's Eve Family Countdown Visit with some new and wild friends in the Americas & Australasia Pavilions and in the Tundra Trek. Don't miss some great entertainment including "That 60s Show" tribute band, Kung Fu Panda and Majinx Magic Show. Plus check out Meet & Greets with Kung Fu Panda's "Po", The WotWots and of course some WILD animals! The fun begins at 5:00 pm and runs until 8:00 pm when we have our very own Kids' Countdown. CUTE ALERT: Say "G' Day" to the Zoo's Southern Hairy-Nosed Wombats! Two of the newest Zoo residents, Millie and Arthur, orphaned Southern hairy-nosed wombats are now on exhibit. The two wombats were transferred from the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago. Wombats are fascinating creatures and we are excited to welcome Millie and Arthur to their new home in the Australasia Pavilion. The newest addition to the Toronto Zoo is on exhibit and is wearing stripes! Mom Shani and dad Shaka are the proud parents to a baby Grevy's zebra- and it's a girl! Shakira was born on October 9, 2012 and is the couple's fourth foal together. Come out to visit our newly striped family member on exhibit in the African Savanna!
