Over the Holidays, travel between Montréal and Halifax without winter weather worries on VIA Rail’s Ocean train

(News Release)

Montréal – In the spirit of the holidays, VIA Rail (viarail.ca) is bringing back the Sleeper Plus Class service on its Ocean train, running between Montréal and Halifax. This service will be available from December 15, 2013 to January 5, 2013, and includes all on board meals, from breakfast through dinner.

“Choosing VIA Rail for your holiday travel means getting to your destination in comfort and with care. It also means you can avoid winter driving, take in the scenery, and enjoy a few amazing meals”, explained Sylvie Bourget, VIA Rail’s Chief Marketing and Sales Officer. “At VIA Rail, your vacation begins the moment you board the train”.

Running three days a week in each direction, VIA Rail's Ocean completes the journey between Montréal and Halifax in a little less than 24 hours. It is an unforgettable experience, highlighted by a dome car which offers a glorious 360 degree view of the Québec and Maritime landscapes.
Passengers on the Ocean can also stay connected through the free Wi-Fi service offered on board.
