Since this new production of the classic story began performances in Toronto on December 20, 2012 it has been an audience favourite, selling out most performances, garnering enthusiastic standing ovations at every single show and already building a loyal following of repeat attendees.
Of course, the show is perfect for family audiences, as to be expected. However, the big surprise in the audience is the large number of young couples on dates. For them, THE WIZARD OF OZ is the perfect date show -- a big, bold and thrilling new telling of the story, and the perfect way with which to celebrate that sweetest of all occasions, Valentine's Day.
