For those looking for a unique weekend getaway guests can choose an Apple Pie Adventure, which allows them to customize their time on the trail. Open June through to October guests can tailor a day to accommodate any preference and choose from a range of options including adventurous hikes, relaxing scenic tours and an exciting selection of local apple-inspired culinary delights.

Escape the city and travel the Apple Pie Trail that runs from Collingwood through the Blue Mountains, to Thornbury, Meaford and Owen Sound. The trail features 32 trail members showcasing delicious apple products from the region’s finest orchards, farmer’s markets and restaurants making each stop entertaining and delectable.
With exciting new additions to on the trail visitors can enjoy endless options of apple edibles as well as apple-inspired art and tours about the apple industry’s heritage. Westin Trillium House guests taking part in the Sunsational savings offer will also be given $50 worth of Apple Pie Dollars to put towards a purchase they make at any of the stops along the trail.
Open seven days a week, from June through to October, the Apple Pie Trail Adventures offers daily activities for families and friends to choose from:
・ Mondays �Take a self-guided ride on the new Ridge Runner, or visit the Scenic Caves Nature Adventures inside Blue Mountain.
・ Tuesdays- Hike up the scenic mountain trail to experience a spectacular view of Georgian Bay. Make your way back down on another mountain trail or gondola ride. Refresh with an exhilarating spa experience at Scandinave Spa, featuring Nordic baths, cold plunges, sauna, and steam room. Relax with a local apple treat or other bistro offering.
・ Wednesdays- Enjoy a canoe or kayak paddle down the beautiful winding Beaver River. Use your Apple Pie trail voucher for lunch at Blackbird Pie Co. in Heathcote or at any other Trail stop along the way.
・ Thursdays-Take in a piece of history with a guided tour of The Depot, Craigleith Shore and Thornbury Harbour. Then enjoy the scenery of Eugenia Falls, Lake Eugenia, Hogg’s Falls and the Lower Valley. Take in these views with a picnic lunch on top of Beaver Valley.
・ Fridays-Sundays-Have a weekend adventure with a scenic gondola almost to the top of the mountain, cycling through the beautiful countryside and paddling on the Beaver River. Be sure to stop along the way to at the many Apple Pie Trail shops and restaurants.
