– The Norfolk County Agricultural Society is pleased to announce that
“Eat & Drink Norfolk” voted as a finalist for “Best New Event” in
Ontario is back for its fourth consecutive year. Dates for this year’s
event are Friday April 12th starting from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm and open again on Saturday April 13th from 12 noon until 10:00 pm.
Eat
& Drink Norfolk provides an opportunity to come out to a relaxed
atmosphere in the AUD at the Norfolk County Fairgrounds, to see and
visit with friends while you “mix and mingle”, visiting food and
beverage displays with each offering many unique food products available
right here in Norfolk County.
Last
year’s show was a great success, with great feedback from the many
people who attended, as well as from the many participating exhibitors
who were excited to showcase their food or beverage through tasting
tickets and sampling which is the key component of Eat & Drink
Norfolk. “The best of what Norfolk County has to offer is showcased all
under one roof. It is a must see!” Says Special Projects Manager
Chantal Zorad.
Many
well known local and area restaurants and food producers are back
again, plus many new exhibitors have expressed interest, with over 40
different exhibitors participating. This year will feature cooking demos
by local favourites, the Fairly Fat Guys. Musical entertainment is
available both days of the show. Grey Sky will perform on Friday night
and Saturday afternoon and The Mushy Peez will perform on Saturday
evening. Silent auctions with many great items will go up for bid on
both days as well.
Admission
tickets are priced at $9, and are available at the door. Food and
beverage tasting tokens will be available at the show for just $1 each.
Each sample at the show will cost between one and four tickets. On
Saturday between opening at noon and 3:00 pm., a special admission price
is available providing two admissions for the price of one.
“Eat
& Drink Norfolk” is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the many great
food and beverage products in Norfolk County, all in one location, in a
casual relaxed atmosphere.
Special thanks to this year’s sponsors Scotiabank, Simcoe Reformer,
Norfolk County, Myfm 98.9, Delbac Sales, Butcher and Restaurant
