TORONTO -- Aerial
Acrobatics ascend to new heights at the CNE this year in Tic Toc, a spectacular new show.
The
colourful extravaganza will explore the theme of “time” and feature cirque
performers, trapeze and trampoline artists, jugglers and more.
Tic Toc was created and designed by acrobat
Daniel Cola who started his athletic performance career in the world of trampoline
as a member of the French national trampoline team from 1978 to 1984 and was World
Champion in 1982.
After this he began training in circus arts at Sea World
and then joined Cirque du Soleil to
perform in Mystère, Alegría, and tour Europe and Asia.
In
1998 he created a trampoline act and became Artistic Coordinator and coach for
the Cirque production La Nouba in Florida.
By 2005 Daniel was appointed
Acrobatics Performance Designer for The
Beatles LOVE show in Las Vegas and Cirque's seasonal show Wintuk at Madison Square Garden.
Free with admission to the
CNE, Tic
Toc performances
will run twice daily from August 16 to September 2 at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
