The Flying Wallendas (Daily)
One of the greatest acts in
circus history, The Flying Wallendas bring their impressive
award-winning show to the CNE. Dating back to the 18thcentury, this
family act was originally known for its expertise in the art of flying trapeze.
Today its crowning achievement is the record-setting 8-person, 3-level
tightrope pyramid, performed without the use of safety devices. The legendary
circus act has also set numerous records with the Guinness Book of World
Records for its daring routine.
The Recycled Orchestra (Daily with the exception of August 21)
The Orchestra of Recycled
Instruments from Paraguay is made up of youth and children from the community
of Cauteura, near Asuncion in South America. The distinctive characteristic of
this musical group is that it performs on instruments that are made from solid
waste from the landfill in Cateura. The young musicians and their family
members have made these instruments themselves. Their motto is “The world
sends us their garbage, we give them back music”. Presented in
partnership with Stratford Summer Music.
“Mind Kontrol” (Daily with the exception of September 2)
A full production show about
psychologically manipulating people's thoughts and ultimately messing with
their minds. This is a highly interactive show which combines a blend of
comedy, magic, mentalism and psychological illusions. Starring in the show is international
award winning magician Mike D’Urzo from Mega
Magic. “Mind Kontrol” was created as a show which puts twists on the classics
of magic while combining mind blowing feats of mental strength and agility.
