Carly Rae Jepsen to perform at the Norfolk County Fair & Horse Show

 Grandstand Concert on Saturday, October 12, 2013

August 13th, 2013 Simcoe, Ontario - the Norfolk County Fair & Horse Show is excited to announce the second of three concert performances for the Grandstand at this year’s fair.
On Saturday, October 12th at 8:00 pm Canadian recording artist, and singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepson will perform in the Grandstand at the Fair.

“We are jumping for joy that we were able to secure Carly Rae Jepsen for our Saturday night Grandstand show”, says Karen Matthews, General Manager.

“With close to half a billion hits on her youtube release of “Call Me Maybe”, we know that she’s going to be very popular. We also love that she’s Canadian!

We gratefully acknowledge the assistance of the Province of Ontario, Eastlink, First Ontario Credit Union, the Simcoe Reformer and MYFM in presenting this concert.”

All concert tickets go on sale at 9 am on Thursday, August 15th.  The Fair is launching a new on line ticketing system which will see music fans going online to choose and purchase their seats through norfolkcountyfair.com or by telephone at (519) 426-7280 x 233.

Carly Rae Jepsen is the second concert announced by the Fair for its Grandstand series. Tuesday,  October 8th at 8 pm the Grandstand will come alive with music from the 70’s featuring five iconic artists performing their biggest hits. “Sail Rock” will feature Christopher Cross, Orleans, John Ford Coley, Player and Gary Wright. Tickets for this concert are $25 and go on sale at 9 am on Thursday, August 15th.

The Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show is in its 173rd   year, and is the fourth largest fair in Ontario and has an annual attendance in excess of 100,000 visitors. The Fair has earned a “Top 100” event designation through Festivals and Events of Ontario and is one of the top fairs in the country according to the Canadian Association of Fairs and Exhibitions. Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show is held in Simcoe, Ontario and runs October 8-14, 2013.
