Ring-tailed lemurs are listed as Near Threatened by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN). Much of their habitat has been altered by human impact, deforestation, harvesting either for food (bush meat) or pets. Periodic drought, common to southern Madagascar, can impact populations already in decline. The Toronto Zoo is part of the Ring-tailed lemur Species Survival Plan (SSP) which focuses on maintaining a genetically healthy captive population and conservation efforts in the wild. This work is crucial to prevent this species from becoming extinct. Toronto Zoo saves and protects animals and their habitats at home and abroad.

Tide is touring Canada and encouraging your family to fling out the old and bring in the new, giving you the tools you need to turn cleaning out the closet into an enjoyable family activity. Throughout the three-week tour, the Tide Team will be visiting the Toronto Zoo for two weekend stops, celebrating new beginnings with their nonprofit partner, Goodwill®. Just bring your clothing items to the front entrance and drop them off to the Tide Team to receive a special offer.
When you donate to Goodwill this spring, your stuff will fund job training programs for people in your community. You get a clean home and your neighbors get a fresh start. To learn more about how Goodwill is creating jobs in your community, visit goodwill.org. Part clothing drive, part interactive activity that brings the family together, TIDE Clothing Donation Day Events provide an opportunity for families to donate, learn and engage.

  1. 482 year old secret to surviving SHTF

What if I told you that NASA rediscovered a superfood that's been lost to history for the past 482 years?

It's packed with more nutrients than any other food out there and last even longer than pemmican.

In fact, it's so easy to store and cheap to make, you might never need another emergency food.
