– The Norfolk County Agricultural Society is excited to announce that
“Eat & Drink Norfolk” is back for its eighth consecutive year.
Dates
for this year’s event are Thursday, April 6th from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday, April 7th from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and open again on Saturday April 8th from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m.
Continuing
to ride the wave of success, “Eat & Drink Norfolk” was recently
named one of Ontario’s Top 100 Festivals & Events for the third year
in a row.
"We are so excited to receive this provincial designation.
Our success is a reflection of the high quality of the participating
local restaurants, wineries, breweries and food producers as well the
community that continues to support us year after year. The dedication
of our vendors, staff, volunteers and sponsor partners has resulted in a
truly amazing event” states Zorad.
“Eat & Drink Norfolk” provides an opportunity to come out to a
relaxed atmosphere in the AUD at the Norfolk County Fairgrounds, to mix
and mingle while sampling local products from over 30 participating
vendors.
Many well-known local restaurants, wineries, breweries and food
producers are back again along with some new vendors who are
participating for the first time.
Now
in its eighth year, “Eat & Drink Norfolk” has grown into the
premier spring event in Norfolk County. “Express entry advance tickets
are selling quickly. People are excited to see what their favourite
vendors will be offering and to discover what’s new!” says Special
Events Manager Chantal Zorad.
Live
musical entertainment will feature Felicia McMinn and Benjamin Dakota
Rogers on Thursday evening, Grey Sky performing Friday evening. Saturday
will feature an all-day musical line up with Evan Champagne, Felicia
McMinn and With the Dudes taking the stage.
A
photo booth will be available for couples and groups in partnership
with Lighthouse Festival Theatre. Those attending will also have the
opportunity to vote for their favourite food booth, favourite wine and
beer booth along with best overall design. The winning vendors are
presented with a ribbon to display in their business all year along with
much coveted bragging rights.
Admission
to “Eat & Drink Norfolk” is $12 on Thursday and $14 Friday and
Saturday. Express entry advance tickets to this popular event are
available at the Fair Office.
Food
and beverage tasting tokens will be available at the show for just $1
each. Each sample at the show typically costs between one and four
tickets. Must be 19 years of age and older to attend.
“Eat
& Drink Norfolk” is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the many great
food and beverage products in Norfolk County, all in one location, in a
casual relaxed atmosphere. It is a fundraising initiative of the Norfolk
County Fair.
