Pirate Life sets sail for another summer of adventures in Toronto Harbour

(News Release)

Toronto pirate journey returns with departures between now and October

TORONTO, Ont. (June 18, 2018) – Get ready to embark on a journey of a lifetime, as your ship sets sail from the Toronto harbour this summer.

Pirate Life Adventure, Cruise, Theatre is back for another summer of exciting voyages and quests to discover sunken treasure.

This adventure cruise takes its passengers on a 1.5-hour trip through the waters of Toronto with theatrical performances and interactive situations along the way. From May to October every year, families and groups can enjoy an afternoon on the Island Rogue while getting to experience life as a pirate.

“The Pirate Life crew is thrilled to set sail this year for another summer of adventures at sea,” says Matt Slaman, Director of Pirate Life. “Every year we welcome thousands of pirates on board the Island Rogue for an experience like no other.”

Before boarding the ship, passengers will receive their pirate names, face-paint tattoos and take part in pre-boarding activities to prepare for the bold journey. Travellers of all ages are encouraged to come dressed in their finest pirate attire, or access the crew’s costume collection before boarding.

“We welcome pirates from near and far to embark on this journey with us and find out what it takes to live the pirate life,” says Slaman. “Pirates of all ages will enjoy the sailing expedition through Toronto’s inner harbour, making for a voyage to remember.”

Pirate Life is a venue welcoming events throughout the summer including private charters, corporate gatherings and dock parties, and is fully licensed by the LLBO. The ship hosts the Toronto Fringe Show, Flooded, and is partnered with Artery, a platform that unites artists and venues to create a sense of community. Pirate Life also hosts concerts with the Toronto Chamber Players and is free for artists to perform dockside concerts.
Located at the pier at the bottom of Parliament Street in Downtown Toronto, the Pirate Life ship sets sail from May to June and September to October on weekends, and embarks daily from July to August.
