Top 10 things to see and do at this weekend's Redpath Waterfront Festival in Toronto (2018)

1. Have an underwater adventure

Catch a performance by Aqua Cirque, a colourful and enchanting water-themed circus show! A tiny but mighty seahorse and his aquatic friends need your help to fend off a wicked sea serpent. Stay after the show to learn some circus tricks of your own.
2. Be on the ball

Climb atop the replica HTO Pendulum Wave, presented by Menkes photo opp and snap the perfect start-of-summer selfie. The full-sized swinging beach balls will be just a few steps away. Look up and admire the installation that was made in Canada and inspired by Toronto’s vibrant waterfront.
3. Hug a mascot

There are no shortage of mascots this year: Billy Bishop Airport’s Billy the Flying Fox, Live Green Toronto’s Woody the Tree, Parks Canada’s Parka, the Navy’s Sonar and characters from the upcoming movie Teen Titans! The kids will love it.
4. Stand at attention

Try on some Army and Navy gear and chat with an officer about how you can jion the forces. Be sure to check out the HMCS Oriole, the Navy’s longest serving tall ship docked at HTO Park.
5. Take in the views of the six

Relax at the Redpath Sugar picnic area in HTO Park and surround yourself with waterfront views. With the HMCS Oriole, giant beach balls and delicious food vendors, it's a sweet place to hang out and take in the festival.
6. Giddy-up

Take a spin on the traditional carousel in Sherbourne Common – horses, carriages and all. Then learn a new magic trick from one of the many roaming buskers. Fun for everyone.
7. Indulge! It's the weekend

With buttery corn on the cob, spicy fajitas, juicy pork sandwiches and more - you’ll have trouble choosing just one. Discover these mouthwatering eats and other homemade products at the Waterfront Artisan Market.
8. Snag a ton of freebies

From fresh Ace Bakery bread and Pure Leaf Iced Tea, to Stubb’s BBQ chicken wings and Booster Juice, there will be loads of free food and items to sample and enjoy throughout the entire festival.
9. Step up your cocktail game

It’s time to head back to school... cocktail school that is. Learn the ABC’s of mixing delicious drinks at the Wine & Spirit Festival. After class, kick back on the beach with a craft beer or glass of wine.
10. Get your steps in

The festival spans two kilometres of the waterfront and we encourage those who are able to walk from one end to the other and experience all that TOwaterfront has to offer. Download your Official Festival Guide with maps, schedules and festival information here.
