Savour your Taste the Season Touring Experience in Niagara-on-the-Lake

Take Advantage of Four More Touring Days and Use Your Passes Any Event Weekend

NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE, ON (September 12, 2012) Touring passes for the Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake Taste the Season Touring Pass Event (Taste the Season) are now available for purchase.

The “must-do” event of the season features a seasonally-inspired VQA wine and food pairing at each of the 28 member wineries.

The event takes place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in November 2012 (November 2/3/4, 9/10/11, 16/17/18, 23/24/25), from 11 am to 5 pm.  In 2012, touring passes may also be used any event weekend.  In the past, touring passes were valid for one pre-determined weekend selected by the visitor.
“Adding four extra touring days and allowing touring pass holders to redeem their tastings any weekend in November will encourage guests to savour not only the superb wine and food pairings, but the unmatched experience of touring Niagara-on-the-Lake wine country,” remarks Roselyn Dyck, committee chair, Taste the Season.

Touring passes are $44.25 per person (plus HST) and can be purchased online at www.wineriesofniagaraonthelake.com/taste-the-season or by calling Tourism Niagara-on-the-Lake at 905.468.1950. Touring passes can be used any Friday, Saturday and Sunday in November 2012, and are valid for one VQA wine and food pairing at each of the 28 Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake.  Designated driver touring passes can also be purchased for $30 (plus HST).

Visit www.wineriesofniagaraonthelake.com/taste-the-season for a full list of seasonally inspired VQA wine and food pairings.

This year, a portion of the proceeds from the event will be given to Newark Neighbours.  Newark Neighbours assists the Niagara-on-the-Lake community by providing residents in need with food and clothing year-round.  It also distributes food baskets and provides dinners during the holidays.

Every day the Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake welcome guests into wine country to savour the richness of the region and to experience the 28 distinct wineries, each with its own personality reflected in the wines they craft.
