London, Ontario – On Saturday, August 17th and Sunday, August 18th, experience all the pleasures
of a 19th century rural fair at Fanshawe Pioneer Village.
Village volunteers have worked all season to present their best examples
of arts and crafts and garden produce in fair exhibits. See rare breed
poultry presented by the Great Lakes Poultry
Club and learn how to raise chickens.
Watch the threshing of the oat
crop and preparations for a traditional 19th century lunch
for the threshing crew. Try your hand at old fashioned games of chance
and see a traditional “Punch and Judy” puppet
show.
And…there is much, much more to enjoy at Fanshawe Agricultural Fair on August 17th and 18th!
