TORONTO – The biggest food and drink event in Canada is back for its 20th anniversary.
Sip and savour international cuisine, exotic delicacies,
incredible wines, cutting-edge cocktails, stunning craft beers and so much more
at this year’s Gourmet Food & Wine Expo taking place at the Metro Toronto
Convention Centre from Nov. 20-23.
“Every
year we try to exceed expectations by sourcing out new exhibitors and offering
a better experience. This year we’re very excited about what we have planned,”
said Jennifer Campbell, Show Manager of the Gourmet Food & Wine Expo.
“For
our 20th anniversary we’re bringing Toronto the best in wine,
food, cocktails and craft beer. Plans are well underway for makingthis year’s
Expo the most appetizing event Canada has ever seen.”
Tutored
Tastings, the popular interactive wine and spirit seminars, will be returning
once again, giving attendees the chance to samples some of theworld’s finest
wines with Canada’s leading experts. In honour of the 20th anniversary,
the best presenters are being brought in to deliver in-depth, fun and hands-on
tasting experiences. Hosts such as Billy Munnelly, John Szabo and Kevin Brauch,
among many others, will be sharing some of their favourite discoveries.
A
definite must see at the show includes a show-stopping Caesar contest featuring
the best mixologists from across the country. Mott’s Clamato’s Best Caesar in
Town National Finals will be hitting the Expo on Sunday, November 23rd on
the Trend Central Main stage. It’s only fitting that the largest food and drink
festival in the country hosts this unique and entertaining event thatcelebrate’s
Canada’s cocktail.
Not
to be missed is Celebrity Chef Lynn Crawford, who will be at the Food Network
Stage Friday November 21st at 3 pm and 6 pm. This television
star has become a sensation in the culinary world with her 25 years of
experience as Executive Chef for the Four Seasons Hotel and the Chef-Owner of
Ruby Watchco. Known from hit television shows Pitchin’ In and Restaurant
Makeover, Crawford will be showcasing her talents live at the Food Network
Stage.
The Expo will also feature a new VIP Area and Sommelier Tasting
Bar. Indulge and sample premium wines including consignment and vintage options
with the ability toprivate order wines during this intimate tasting. Also returning to the Expo is
the always popular #TrendCentral Tasting Stage. Check out the hottest trends in
wine, cocktails and beer.
Catch
the All You Need is Cheese Stage and sample a wide selection of cheese, take
part in cooking demonstrations and learn about cheese pairings hosted by the
Dairy Farmers of Canada. For spirits enthusiasts, the Spiritology Pavilion
allows you to receive a hands-on lesson in creating cocktails from Toronto’s
top mixologists.

have so much in store for our guests at this year’s Gourmet Food & Wine Expo.
With hundreds of exhibitors, so many talented chefs, ongoing complimentary
stages and the best Tutored Tastings line up yet, a visit to the Expo will
