Thanksgiving weekend events at Harbourfront in Toronto

TORONTO -- HarbourKIDS:Folk - This Thanksgiving weekend, explore a world of good, 
celebrating the positivity of communities, families and friends through folk 
music, folk tales, folk art, folk theatre and more over three folk-filled days, 
October 6-8th, 11:00am - 5:00pm daily.

Harbourfront Centre Visual Arts - Witness the works of artists, architects, 
designers, photographers and more throughout ten exhibition spaces.  The 
exhibitions run from Friday, Sept. 28-Sunday, Dec. 23, Noon-6pm.

Award-winning Toronto theatre artist and musician evalyn parry has created a 
brand new adaptation of her hit show SPIN for HarbourKIDS: Folk. A vintage 
bicycle, played as a musical instrument, accompanies a cycle of songs and 
stories recounting the little-known history of women and cycling  

Sunparlour Players

The multi-instrumental duo Sunparlour Players (Andrew Penner and Michael "Rosie" 
Rosenthal) bridges folk, punk, electro and gospel with songs that are joyful and 
challenging, playful and surprising.

The Children's Own Media Museum

Write, design, make and sing this museum into reality. Kids will also receive a 
special curator kit. The museum is inspired by some of the work of Canadian 
scholar and media genius, Marshall McLuhan.

Domestic Bliss

Wise Daughters Craft Market volunteers have covered everything from a broom to a 
frying pan to a dog (not a real one!) with crocheted and knitted cosies. Be sure 
to check out their sprawling display of cozy creations!
