Late Night with Lucy is back by popular demand at the Stratford Festival

July 3, 2013… Building on the incredible success of last season’s sold-out series, Lucy Peacock presents a second series of her after-hours cabarets, Late Night with Lucy, beginning this Friday, July 5, at 11:30 p.m. at the Studio Theatre.

For four special nights this summer, Ms Peacock, along with several invited company members, artists and friends, will take the stage for an evening filled with music, stories, laughter and love.
“To me, this isn’t a show; it’s a share,” says Ms Peacock. “It is a rare opportunity to not only share the extraordinary talents of the company with audiences, but also a chance for us to connect and collaborate with each other. The cozy ‘living room’ setting creates an atmosphere of love and joy, perfect for showcasing the remarkable amount of creativity and passion within our company. In a way, it feels like we’re inviting audiences right into the heart of the Festival.”

“I am delighted to welcome Late Night with Lucy back for a second season,” says Artistic Director Antoni Cimolino. “Lucy’s enchanting creative spirit comes alive in a uniquely spirited fashion in these cabarets and the opportunity to see her perform alongside some of our brilliant company members is not to be missed. The shows were an enormous hit last year, with the entire series selling out before it even opened. I urge patrons to secure their seats for an evening that promises to be unforgettable.”

Late Night with Lucy runs Fridays, July 5 and 19, and August 9 and 23. For tickets, contact the box office at 1.800.567.1600 or visit stratfordfestival.ca/forum.

Ms. Peacock currently stars in this season’s productions of Mary Stuart and The Thrill.
