How to plan the ultimate family road trip

(Provided by Hyunda Canada publicity)

With summer fast approaching, many Canadian families are gearing up for some fun upcoming road trips. While road trips are filled with fun for all involved, planning a smooth sailing trip can sometimes feel like a bit of a bumpy ride.

Before buckling everyone into the car, parents need to organize themselves with the ultimate family road trip checklist.

Not only will this combat parental road trip anxiety, but it’ll ensure they get to their chosen destinations while limiting the amount of “ARE WE THERE YET?” heard from the back seats. Things to think about for your next family road trip include:

  • Devices – Though road trips are tons of fun, it can be challenging to keep the littlest members of the family entertained in the car between stops. With the new Hyundai Palisade, parents no longer need to mitigate arguments about sharing device chargers. The SUV houses seven USB charging ports so the whole family can stay entertained and plugged in for the entire road trip.
  •
  • Snacks/Drinks - Packing snacks and drinks will help to limit the amount of stops along the way, allowing families to get to theirdestinations faster while also keeping everyone happy and hydrated!
  •
  • Travel Pillow/Blanket – For your littlest passengers, a travel pillow and light blanket are essential for napping during long car rides. Naptime is most parents’ favourite time of day.
  •
  • The Hyundai Palisade comes with an in-vehicle intercom and Quiet Mode, allowing parents can chat and listen to music in the front seats without waking the kids in the back. You can even mute sound in the 2nd row if the occupants are sleeping, but still speak to those awake and in the 3rd row!
