ROM Celebrates Family Day Weekend
with Earth Rangers Show, Hands-on Activities and more!
To celebrate Family Day Weekend (February 15 – 17) the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) has curated a special calendar of events to engage and delight parents, grandparents, care-givers, kids and families.
Awaken your wild side and learn about the diversity of animal life, including incredible insects, magnificent mammals and rockin’ reptiles and more.
- Return of the popular Earth Rangers animal show (Saturday, 11:00 – 1:00 pm)
- Interact with live reptiles and amphibians from Sciencesational Sssnakes
- Check out the ROM’s famous Bat Cave and meet live bats and owls
- Explore animal artifacts and specimens, with touch tables throughout the ROM
- Meet insects in the ROM’s hands-on galleries
- Chance to meet the ROM’s aquarium keeper (Sunday, 11:00 – 1:00 pm)
- Hands-on crafts, including animal bracelet making, and creating wildlife art with mixed media
- Have your photo taken with ROM dinosaur mascots: Gordo, Gertie, and Gurgle
Activities take place 11:00 am to 4:00 pm (Museum hours 10:00 am to 5:30 pm)
Free with museum admission.
