Niagara Grape & Wine Festival in full swing

St. Catharines, ON – Join the Niagara Grape & Wine Festival for its 63rd Annual Niagara Wine Festival taking place now through Sept. 28.

Niagara is the proud home of Canada’s largest grape and wine industry and we welcome you to join in the festivities.

The Festival Wine Route programming has two new events: The Shaw Festival Speaker Series and Taste of the Harvest. The ever popular harvest installment of the Discovery Pass is your ticket to eight
incredible wine and culinary experiences at participating wineries along the Niagara Wine Route.
 

On weekends, two and three the celebration continues in historic downtown St. Catharines where Montebello Park presents six days of incredible live entertainment, seminars and family activities like the Mayor’s Grape Stomp, The Pied Piper Parade and Grapeland. Come and meet the newest Grape and Wine industry mascot as he makes his inaugural appearance.


On weekends, the Centre Stage will host a roster full of incredible Canadian talent. From beginning to end popular local bands and tribute bands take the stage including: Hotel California, Desire - U2 Tribute, Elton Rohn, The Caverners and the Wheat Kings. Closing Sunday will be a New Country Day presented by KX 94.7.
 

The Fallsview Casino Resort hosts The Wine and Culinary Food Experience presenting over 100 VQA wines available for tasting along with local culinary favourites in the park. For an elevated park experience with all the comforts of a VIP area, join us in the Harvest Lounge with its private wine bar, seating, washrooms and specially prepared charcuterie platters and other incredible regional and Canadian culinary delights.

On Saturday; “Educate Your Senses” Wine and Cheese Seminars presented by the CCOVI at Brock University and hosted by best selling author and wine industry personality, Dr. Linda Bramble will be joined by Dairy Farmers of Canada to engage local winemakers in lively demonstrations, discussions and tastings.
 

New to Sunday programming will be the Harvest Table Seminars. The Canadian Food and Wine Institute Rising Stars will team up with local celebrity chefs to provide culinary demonstrations and sampling opportunities using the bounty of Niagara.

The Meridian Grande Parade takes place on Saturday September 27th and will present “Celebrating 200 Years of Peace” as we conclude our bicentennial commemorations. This toast to the past and our binationalism will include marching bands, dance troops, floats and amazing performers.


Help our Community Heroes as they join the team from Community Care during their annual Harvest Drive. Don’t forget your non-perishable food items and help us beat last year’s target of 8,000 lbs of food for those in need.
