Ahoy! A preview of this summer's Redpath Waterfront Festival in Toronto
This year’s Redpath Waterfront Festival will once again launch the Tall Ships Challenge®
Great Lakes Series where a fleet of international tall ships will sail
throughout the Great Lakes this summer. This year’s star ships are El
Galeon, a Spanish sailing vessel with 6 decks of exhibits and displays
for you to explore, and Draken Harald Hårfagre which is the most
authentic Viking ship built in modern days and will be arriving from
it’s journey across the Atlantic to Toronto’s harbour.
The 2016 RWF will also host two Royal Canadian Navy ships –
available for tours, hold a fun Navy-themed obstacle course, and much
of our favourite program attractions return this year. Starting with
the Waterfront Artisan Market, a food lovers and shoppers paradise,
showcasing unique products from local designers, chefs and artists; The
WaveDecks will be alive with pop-up entertainment from buskers, live art
and dance demos; and the Ultimutts Stunt Dog Show returns with dogs of
all sizes and over 40 amazing canine tricks. On the final day of the
festival, Sunday, July 3, join us for the grand finale Parade of Sail
with all participating ships plus unique local vessels.
So ‘Bring the Whole Crew’ Toronto, because the countdown is officially on!
