Heat wave predicted at the 2016 Montreal Boat Show

(News Release)

Brossard, february, 2nd, 2016 - Place Bonaventure will be home of the Montreal Boat and Water Sports Show from February 4th to the 7th. This event, a fantastic nautical get-together and the most important of its kind in Quebec, welcomes thousands of boating and nautical sports. It is for them an excellent opportunity to check out new boats and products for 2016 with the best deals of the year.

Presented by the Quebec Maritime Association (QMA), Desjardins and Aviva, the 2016 Boat Show has some 500 boats for viewing, including million dollars yachts, never seen before sailboats, activities for the whole family, and three thematic locations benefiting from the presence of boating personalities on site to answer questions and entertain.

Official launching of the "made in Quebec" Outsider
Built by Roski Marine, the new Outsider daysailer will be launched officially at the Boat Show. Aimed at the American market, this nimble sailboat created in Roxton Falls is offered in three versions to accommodate sailors of varied abilities and tastes at a very attractive price.

Régal 42 Sport Coupe
Those who are into larger yachts will enjoy the brand new Regal 42 Coupe, a big sports yacht presented for the first time in Quebec. Priced at close to a million $, it has Volvo Penta engines designed for economy and power. This cruising yacht offers a large and luxurious cockpit well suited to entertain and relax.

Oceanis 35
Among the new sailboats at the Show, sailors will want to see firsthand the Oceanis 35 from Beneteau, a superb cruising sailboat where style, safety, comfort and performance shine.

FarEast 28R
This performance keelboat offered at a fraction of the price associated with the breed will be introduced in Quebec for the first time at the Show. The official launching of this performance sailboat is a recent recipient of Sailing World's "Boat of the Year" Award. Competitive sailors will be delighted by its promises of performance on the water as well by its attractive price!

Supra Roush Limited Edition
An exclusive presentation at the Show, the Supra SE 550 is a Limited Edition with only 25 boats made for the global market and only two available in Canada! With "avant-garde" design, to say the least, the Supra SE 550 is competition ready and its engine is derived from the same powerful engines you find in Ford F-150 trucks.

Three thematic areas
Introduced for the first time at the 2016 Boat Show are three new thematic areas dedicated respectively to Sailing, Fishing and Water Sports. Each benefit from the presence of top personalities in their "speciality" with wakeboard champion Dominic Lagacé, Patrick Campeau, Daniel Robitaille and Cyril Chauquet for Fishing and George Leblanc for Sailing. These thematic spaces are fun places to share and get information and meet others who are like-minded!

Fabulous discounts on Historical Canals from Parks Canada
Partners with the QMA at the Show, Parks Canada will offer visitors great seasonal packages for its Historical Canals. Anyone buying a boat at the Show will get a seasonal permit to lock-through free of charge! Plus, Parks Canada will be offering "two-for-one" locking permits at its stand.
