Weather forecast – At VIA Rail Canada it’s business as usual

Montréal, December 20, 2013 – At this time, VIA Rail Canada’s trains have not been affected by the winter weather across certain parts of the country.

Although the Corporation continues to operate according to its regular schedule in the Québec City - Windsor corridor, in Western Canada and in the Maritimes, some delays caused by the weather may be expected.

However no cancellations are foreseen. VIA Rail encourages Canadians to use caution when travelling.

Information about the schedules will be updated when necessary on VIA Rail’s Facebook and Twitter pages @VIA_rail. Arrival and departure status information is available online for the Québec City - Windsor corridor at Reservia.VIARail.ca

For more information regarding VIA Rail's schedules or to book a train ticket, travellers can visit viarail.ca or dial 1 888 VIA RAIL (1 888 842 7245).
